Party time exercise

In case you have not received the email -

Sorry for short notice, but as per the last newsletter, there will be a flying exercise this Saturday.

This will take the form of Navigation, flight duration and precision landing.

As this is the first time, GPSs will be allowed - Big sigh of relief to some of you no doubt!

Nothing will be onerous and should be well within the capabilities of all.

You will need to bring along -

250000 or 500000 mil chart for the area.

Digital camera

GPS

Pens and paper

Ruler and protractor

Brains


There will be a pre exercise briefing beforehand at 1100 which all must attend, as the briefing will also include instructions for the exercise.

Sorry, but if you miss the briefing you cannot take part.

Following the briefing, the exercise instructions will be available.

And a good laugh was had by all - in spite of the cold.

Phil Edwards managed to take the win - knocking the "king", Will Knowles, with Nikki, off the top spot - with an actual landing time only 5 seconds off his predicted time!!

Nobody managed to photograph all the waypoints, and a few didn't even manage to land in the box, either !!

A great day's entertainment.

Best not to mention flour bombing !!!

Just want to say a big thanks to Pete, Mike and Guiness for a great day's fun. Can't wait for the next one, just need to listen to Rob next time and not land 3 minutes too early
