Hi All,
Seeing the talk about trailers has given me a nudge to raise a question. I have noticed on the back road that there are a couple of what look like three axis trailers in various states of repair, one has wheels and tyres in a very poor state. It has crossed my mind that it might not take a lot to return one to a  useable condition, and as there has been a couple of incidents recently with three axis aircraft possibly needing trailering back home, could be an asset. So my question is, does anybody know who owns these trailers, and with the owners consent, would anybody else be interested in investigating the possibility of getting one roadworthy, just in case?

cheers Keith.s.

Hi Keith

I think getting a 3 axis trailer roadworthy and available for any club member to use is a good idea. I will be happy to help with referbishing anything that seems recoverable.

I think it's a good idea as well. It would be a useful facility... that we hope we never have to use.

Hi Ian

Sorry if I caused offence about the trailer I mentioned, but I am left a bit confused. Someone did mention to me it belonged to Eric our ex chairman who at one time considered returning it to roadworthy condition but gave up. I had no intention of doing anything with the trailer until I had contacted the owner. Apologies for any misunderstanding. I fail to see what use it would have been to you last Monday in it's present condition!

No problem kieth,
My misunderstanding! seems that someone has swiped a 4 wheel trailer which i left on the back road.
Seems you are renovating a different one!
Hope the one you have works out ok.
Ian

Hi Ian

I did hear that your trailer had gone walkabout, what a bummer, hope it finds it's way back.

cheers Keith
