A number of us are interested in doing a radio course so that we are qualified to use radios. I believe one was being organised, do we have any details yet?

I've spoken to Simon Bailey from Dunkeswell.

He runs Radio courses - for between 4 and 6 people at a time.

They run over 3 consecutive Saturdays. That's about 1.5 days theory and 1.5 days practical (includes a theory test).

After that there is a practical test to do.

The course would be at Dunkeswell as he doesn't think we have the necessary facilities at Zoy.

The cost is £130 per person for the 3 day course and for those who do the course a further £30 for the theory test (usually £60).

If we have 4 or more people interested he will run the course just for us, otherwise we will have to fit to the timescales of Dunkeswell students! He'll let me know their dates by the end of the week.

So - who is up for it then?

Hi Andy

Well done for doing the legwork. Put me down for a place, time is not a problem I'm flexible.

Have had confirmation today that Simon Bailley can run a course for us either on 13th and 20th March, or on 20th and 27th March.

I currently have Keith S, Nigel M, Martyn W and myself pencilled in. This means there are just 2 places left unless any of those pencilled in can't make it.

Can Keith, Nigel and Martyn let me know which of the 2 alternatives they are available for?

I will e-mail those I have an address for.

Regards,
Andy
