Hi
Just wondering if any pilots of weightshift microlights would like to share in the purchase of a trailer? A syndicate of 3 or 4 would significantly reduce the cost for something that's not used very much. It's one of those 'just in case' purchases which I find difficult to justify as a solo purchase since I anticipate using it very rarely (hopefully).  Yes, I know I'm tempting fate by just putting this into writing.
What does everyone think?

Hi Nigel,

I am interested, especially if the winters kaeep getting colder, it would allow the chance to do some maintenance at home.

Hi Dave
I will be viewing a trailer within the next week or so, the asking price is about £175 (total).
It belongs to Jeff (in the W-Z club).
I'm happy to go halves if you are interested.

Hi Dave / Nigel,

I'm interested.

If it's the trailer I think it is - I used it to bring my Quantum back from St Albans so can vouch for the condition.

Where would we store it though?

Kind Regards,
Andy

Hi Andy
As far as I am concerned the more the merrier in the trailer syndicate!
As regards storage I'm not sure 'where' at present.  I had hoped we could use the communal hangar, there seems a bit more space in there at present?  Tim may want to charge us for this privilege, but at least it would be central for all to use.
My garage space at home would not permit trailer storage, how about you?

Just a quick thought - make sure that your trike will be able to fit on the trailer - wheelbases of trikes do differ by an inch or two in width or more in one case (Kiss, mainly due to tyre size) , but that may mean your trike would not fit in the runners comfortably.

NigelAndy

Are you looking at the trailer this weekend? I hope to be there at least one day this weekend if not both days. I will check the dimensions across the wheels to make sure it will fit. Hope to see you this weekend.

Nigel,

I had considered purchasing a trailer previously, but storage was the problem as I have no space at home to store it, and in terms of syndicate ownership it would need to be available at (or near) the airfield for easy access if needed.

David,

I'm very unlikely to be able to get to the airfield this weekend as we have a family baptism near Ludlow (and I don't think I can rely on the weather being suitable for flying there!)

Kind Regards,
Andy
